The 1983 Riyadh Arab Convention is the primary multilateral framework for extradition and mutual legal assistance between Arab League member states. Saudi Arabia is a signatory and uses it frequently. It has broader reach than bilateral treaties but also provides procedural grounds for challenge.
Can Saudi Arabia extradite me from a country with no treaty?
Yes. Where no formal treaty exists, Saudi Arabia uses diplomatic channels and the principle of reciprocity. Requests can also be routed through the country where you are located, depending on that country’s domestic extradition law.
